The Runners from Banyak Films on Vimeo.

Pounding the tarmac through the seasons, a band of runners are brazenly challenged with intimate questions as they pace their routes. Liberated from responsibilities, their guards drop dramatically, releasing funny and brutally frank confessions, and weaving a powerful narrative behind the anonymous masses.

A film by Matan Rochlitz & Ivo Gormley.

SLR from Stephen Fingleton on Vimeo.

twitter.com/sfingali SLR is a short thriller about a man obsessed with “voyeur pornography”. When he makes a shocking discovery online, he is forced onto the trail of an anonymous photographer known only by his user name of ANORAK.

In the tradition of BLOW-UP, THE CONVERSATION and HARD CORE, SLR puts a morally compromised man through the meat grinder of his own behaviour. The film was one of 16 shorts made through the BFI Shorts/ Lighthouse scheme, and stars noted Irish character actors LIAM CUNNINGHAM and RICHARD DORMER, both of whom are stars of GAME OF THRONES. It won Best Irish Short at the Academy-recognised Foyle Film Festival, and is being put online in conjunction with a companion film called SELFIE - see here vimeo.com/84851890. Distraction from Stephen Schuster on Vimeo.

A young writer. A prostitute. An old desert motel. All stories need an ending and all endings need a beginning.

"Distraction" is a short film noir that focuses on the fragile psyche of a writer who’s sole desire is to finish his screenplay while learning that the beginning is always easier to write than the end.
